Topic: "The Relationship of Periodontal Disease to Systemic Illness: Clinical Implications."
Dr. Genco will discuss the current information on periodontal disease microbiology, risk factors, and the relationship of periodontal disease to diabetes, obesity, heart disease, low birth weight, and respiratory diseases. Emphasis will be placed on the clinical implications of these findings, as well as the management of periodontal disease in patients suffering from several of these conditions. |
