Topic: “Meeting the Needs of the Underserved be it Downturned Economy or Not”Goal: The speaker has a passionate goal to demonstrate how today’s technologies can change people’s lives, be affordable and still facilitate a quality income (same or better) for practicing dentists. Minimally invasive, even repairable esthetics will be emphasized including early childhood preventive intervention. Dental technologies are to be pushed to their limits so to offer affordable quality treatments previously thought impossible. Overview:This day long course is designed to meet the needs of the whole dental team and will focus on practical information that can be utilized in your practice, as well as address ethical questions that pertain to the best treatments for all patients, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances. Dentistry, the treatment options, and the needs of modern patients have all changed greatly over the last three decades. The speaker will share how he has learned and even from mistakes he has made. He will demonstrate with clinical evidence how modern materials and treatment developments can enable modern dentists to “go places our predecessors only dreamed of going.” Exciting preventive techniques can enable us to prevent early childhood caries and the troublesome decalcifications that occur too often around orthodontic brackets. To reach multiple socioeconomic groups, practical, rapid effective Endodontics is so beneficial. With new technologies, more general dentists can reach more patients. Step by Steps with hands on will be shown. Many practical tips and tricks will be taught throughout the program. “Step by step” guidelines will be shared with both the “hows” and “whys” as different procedures are accomplished. Course Objectives:At the completion of this program, Participants will be able to: • Treat more social economic groups and in ways you would like to be treated and without negatively impacting your “bottom line”. • Intercede earlier with children and so to prevent early childhood caries. • Understand the important principles of quality adhesives and esthetic resins for direct reconstruction of the anterior fractured tooth. • Learn techniques for the direct reconstruction of mutilated posterior teeth. • Hermetically seal cleaned canals with modern deliveries and modern radiopaque hydrophilic resin sealers/filler and from the apex outward.
