Topic: “A Team Approach To Treating The Dental Patient With Medical Problems”Two out of three individuals who will seek dental care in the next year have something in their medical history that could complicate dental treatment. The goal of this course is to give the dental team a simple but comprehensive approach to evaluating the physical and psychological status of a patient prior to treatment. The role of the dental team in treating patients with common systemic disorders, such as infectious diseases, cardiovascular disease and those requiring antibiotic prophylaxis will be discussed. |
